The journey to marriage is such a beautiful and exciting time in a couple's life. Your engagement session will not only provide you with beautiful images to be used at your wedding and beyond, but it also will allow us to work out any pre-wedding jitters and get you more comfortable in front of the camera. That way, once your wedding day is here, you'll know just what to expect. Engagement sessions are included in some wedding collections, but may also be added a la carte to any collection.

the process
Let's be friends! If I'm going to be third-wheeling with you for the next several months, let's get to know each other. I want to know your likes and dislikes, how you met, and what you envision your wedding day to be like. Anyone, and I mean anyone can click a shutter button (hello, smart phones), but the real, raw, meaningful photos happen when I can connect with my clients to produce genuine, effortless, joyful and meaningful images. We'll set up a Zoom meeting where we will chat and see if we're a perfect fit, and if we're a good match we will move forward with booking!

Save the Date! YAY! We were a great fit, and you're ready to become a CDP bride! I will send over a booking proposal so that you can review your package and pay your deposit. A 30% non-refundable booking fee will reserve your date, with the balance due 30 days before the wedding.

Engagement Session! If you chose a collection with an engagement session, I will send over a locations guide full of beautiful locations in our area. I will also send a link to an online styling tool to help coordinate and plan your outfits. We'll set a date and make magic happen! Rest easy that no matter how "not photogenic" you think you are, or how "not excited" your future husband is to have his picture taken, we've got this. It is normal to feel like a ball of nerves, but I assure you that we will capture some beautiful moments. We'll get you warmed up, and a few minutes in, I promise, you'll be a professional!

Timeline Building! About 3 months out from your wedding day, I will send you a questionnaire to get all of the final details. I use these details to create a photography-friendly timeline for you to approve. Through my years of doing weddings, I have found that when I collaborate with my couples to build a timeline, the day runs smoothly and we have plenty of time for producing those jaw-dropping images that you're looking for!

Wedding Day! All of your hard work and planning has led to this day and you are FINALLY getting ready to marry the love of your life. As the day unfolds, I will capture some posed, traditional portraits while paying special attention to the sweet, candid moments in between. I live for the groom's expression as he sees you for the first time, and your parent's faces as you say your vows. The details you have worked so hard to plan and the tiny moments you might miss during the day, those are my jam---and I'm so excited for you to see them in your final gallery!

Gallery Delivery! After your wedding day, you will receive your online wedding gallery with a print release, so that you can relive the magic of your day over and over again. Crack a bottle of wine, snuggle up on the couch with your new spouse, and relive every moment, big and small. You can share the link to your gallery with family and friends and will have the option to purchase professional prints, canvases and other products right from your gallery.
